ABS1X: alternating B-stars with one X-tie, the sum over B vertices of g(B-degree) times their X-degree. For two-level (multilevel) networks, as MPNet (Wang et al. 2013): the levels are the values of the vertex attribute
attr, A and B (levels=(A, B), or the attribute’s two values, sorted); A-ties are within A, B-ties within B, X-ties between them. Undirected networks.decayweights the alternating statistic geometrically, as gwesp’s: g(d) = exp(decay) (1 - (1 - exp(-decay))^d), MPNet’s lambda being exp(decay) (its default, 2, isdecay=log(2)). It is fixed by default, as in MPNet; withfixed=FALSE, it is estimated, as ergm’s curved terms (seeCurved), for the terms with one alternating part.
